Self Defense Products: How the Self Defense Kubotan Works

The kubotan was first introduced in the twentieth century by Takayuki Kubota and has been used as one of the best tools for police officers in the line of duty. It can be used by everyday people as well as great physical defense tools. The self defense kubotan is a small tool that is perfect for simple self defense.

The size of the kubotan is especially small among physical defense tools. It is generally about five and a half inches in length and is used as a keychain attachment. This size is perfect in that it can be used to help with allowing for easy control and concealment. Also, in most cases this tool is made out of aluminum.

Stabilization is the main thing that the kubotan uses. It works to stabilize the fist of the user. This makes it so that it will be easy to use the tool. Also, the kubotan will work to help get additional strength to the fist so that pressure can be applied to the body of an attacker. The user can also gain leverage on the attacker's fists as well.

The handling of the kubotan is similar to that of the yawara, another tool used in Japan for self defense that is held in the fist. The major difference of this is that an end will be sticking out of the fist. This means that it will be easier for pressure to be applied to others because of the pointed end of the kubotan.

Another major thing about the kubotan involves the ability to work as a pressure point weapon. The kubotan, when used on pressure areas, can be especially painful on assailants but will not create any long term pain or injury. This works to help with halting the body activities of the attacker. This tool is not a blunt instrument either, thus making it safe to use.

There are some valuable targets that the kubotan is used on when it is used for self defense. The parts of the body that have more bone density are the ones where this will be more effective on. The knuckles, forearms and shins are the best places to use the kubotan on.

One of the best things about the self defense kubotan is that this tool for self defense is legal everywhere. In fact, usage of this is not regulated by any governmental bodies. Therefore, this is a tool that can be used without worrying about whether or not it is legal.

Also, because of its small size it is typically affordable to buy at a self defense store. However, it helps to get some training on this tool before using it.

The self defense kubotan is one of the most unique tools to use for self defense. More police groups are using this among physical defense tools. In fact, with its compact size, its effectiveness and its legality it makes for a great tool to use for anyone.
